CORE Performance Company, the professional contemporary dance company of Several Dancers Core, focuses on creation through collaboration and performance of dance. Through the interaction of each dancer’s individual physicality in an intentional collaborative process, CORE develops an idea into an intricate and layered expression through visceral and evocative performance. 

Now in its 30th anniversary season, CORE consists of six individual artists who collaborate with renowned choreographers, composers and visual artists from around the globe to develop exciting new projects each season. Their repertory is eclectic in style, ranging from highly physical dances accompanied by a live chorus to simple gestural theater performed within a visual art installation.

CORE provides residencies (lecture-demonstrations, classes and workshops) in conjunction with each performance project or as stand-alone events. Activities are designed to be flexible and accommodate varying numbers of participants, levels of movement experience, ages, etc. Offerings including discipline-based dance workshops, integration of academics into arts/movement education, master classes for experienced dancers, and lecture demonstrations for kindergartners.

CORE has toured internationally, including performances in Arizona, Texas, New York, Mexico, Germany, Toronto, Yugoslavia, Hungary and, of course, Atlanta, Georgia.
