About GCA
GCA is a state agency with the mission to provide access to the arts for all Georgians, and its prime responsibility is to the state’s nonprofit arts industry. The agency strives for 100% statewide coverage (every county) in support of arts programming.
The GCA charter also encourages the agency to provide services: sponsored programming that supports arts organizations, artists, and the arts industry. Among these services, GCA maintains and loans the State Art Collection, has published Georgia Masterpieces: Selected Works from Georgia’s Museums, and provides capacity building programs and resources, such as On Being A CEO.
